FireQA is a product developed by Clarinspect. It consists of inspections and reports optimised for the fire protection, inspection and certification industry.
Who we are
Clarinspect is an inspection software provider founded by Mark English and Paul Sapsford during the Christchurch earthquakes. Those first forms and reports supported the Council in assessing earthquake damaged assets, and since then the range of inspections supported has mushroomed! Following this earthquake phase working as a joint venture Clarinspect incorporated in 2014. Since those early days, we've been dedicated to offering top-notch inspection software solutions and supporting our clients with their specific project needs.
How it started
About eight years ago, we noticed a gap in the market for a passive fire inspection product. After being approached by multiple teams, we decided to create a cost-effective off-the-shelf solution. FireQA was born and has grown into a comprehensive suite of fire safety QA products over the years.
What does FireQA do?
FireQA offers a wide variety of systems, including passive fire installation logging, intumescent Coatings Log and QA, Scoping, Certification and AS1851. All our products are designed to enhance efficiency, save time and ensure quality outcomes. We have a user friendly app which gathers data in the field and a web-based management console that automatically produces reports.
Who designed the software?
We've collaborated with passive fire installers, coatings teams, councils and engineers to develop FireQA, built on a solid grounding of the applicable standards. As a neutral party, we assess standards, and innovate across industries to build solutions that ensure the entire system benefits everyone involved.
We are local
Our friendly team is based in Christchurch and Queenstown. Besides fire safety, we also specialise in asbestos management, construction monitoring, and commercial property surveying. We work on many projects across New Zealand and Australia and plan to go beyond in the near future.
Award winning system
In 2023, we won the FireNZ award for our FireQA product, a proud testament to our dedication and innovation in New Zealand's fire safety industry. We're also members of FPANZ. We are always open to improving our products and services, and work closely with clients to drive it forward.
